
LO₂ Storage Tank
Introduction
Liquid oxygen storage tank is a double-layer fixed vacuum powder insulation equipment used for low-temperature storage of gases such as liquid oxygen and liquid nitrogen. The inner tank is made of stainless steel material (the inner tank of carbon dioxide storage tank is 16MnDR), and the outer tank is made of Q235B or 16MnR steel, with a maximum working pressure of 2.2MPa.

When the gas consumption is lower than the production capacity, liquid oxygen is stored and quickly vaporized to supplement during peak gas consumption, helping the air separation unit maintain stable and efficient operating conditions.
Safe Backup Source
When the air separation equipment is shut down due to planned maintenance or sudden failure, the liquid oxygen in the storage tank can immediately start vaporization supply, providing uninterrupted oxygen guarantee for downstream key production processes (such as steel smelting and chemical reactions), which is an important safety line for factory production.

Main features and advantages
Large storage capacity for safety
Compared with high-pressure gas cylinders, it can store a large amount of oxygen at relatively low pressures, which is usually safer and more space saving.
Flexible and stable gas supply
It can be used as the main gas source (after vaporization by a vaporizer), as well as a backup or peak shaving gas source, to supplement the supply during maintenance of the main air separation equipment or peak gas consumption, ensuring the continuity of gas supply.
Good economy
For discontinuous or small to medium scale gas demand, transporting and storing liquid oxygen through tank trucks can sometimes have an overall cost advantage over building small air separation systems or using a large number of steel cylinders.
Static storage, high reliability
As a static device, there are no complex moving parts, and daily maintenance work is relatively simple, making operation relatively reliable.
