Air separation units can be categorized into low-pressure and high-pressure systems. Low-pressure units are primarily used to produce high-purity oxygen and nitrogen; while they operate at low pressures and entail higher energy consumption, their equipment costs are relatively low. High-pressure units, conversely, are designed for the large-scale production of oxygen or nitrogen and are suitable for extensive industrial applications; although their energy consumption is comparatively lower, they involve higher capital investment and maintenance costs.

Furthermore, air separation units are characterized by intelligent control capabilities and exceptional reliability. By employing a Distributed Control System (DCS), these units achieve fully automated operation with a fault rate of less than 0.5%. Key components-such as molecular sieves and expanders-are fabricated using imported materials, ensuring a service life exceeding 15 years.
