Basic operating principle

 

Filling is a physical process that utilizes pressure difference and low-temperature liquid characteristics. Its core is to fill the bottle with liquid rather than gas to achieve efficient and high-purity filling.

 

Gas cylinder preparation and connection

After weight inspection, pressure inspection, vacuuming or replacement, the empty cylinder is connected to the busbar of the filling scale.

Low temperature liquid transportation

Liquid CO₂ (about -20 ℃, pressure 1.6-2.1 MPa) from the storage tank is pressurized by a low-temperature liquid pump or directly transported to the filling manifold using the tank's own pressure.

Differential pressure filling

Open the filling valve and use the pressure difference between the filling end and the gas cylinder to quickly flow liquid CO₂ into the cylinder. During the process, some liquids undergo flash evaporation (gasification) due to a decrease in pressure, which absorbs heat and keeps the bottle at a low temperature, facilitating continuous liquid filling.

Weighing and cutoff

The filling scale monitors the weight in real time. When the preset nominal filling amount is reached (such as 25kg for a 40L steel cylinder), the filling valve is automatically closed to ensure safety and prevent overloading.

Sealing and leak detection

After filling, let it stand still. The liquid inside the gas cylinder absorbs heat and vaporizes to reach the equilibrium pressure at room temperature (about 5-7 MPa). Then, perform airtightness testing and install the cylinder valve protective cap.
