On April 2, 2026, Linde Inc. announced an investment of over $75 million in Northampton County, North Carolina, USA, to construct a new air separation facility that will create 20 new jobs. The plant will be located in the Northampton County Business Park in Fayetteville, primarily producing argon, nitrogen, and oxygen for applications in healthcare, semiconductor manufacturing, battery production, and food preservation. Todd Lawson, Vice President of Linde's Eastern Region, stated that the facility will enhance Linde's gas supply network in North Carolina and improve its ability to serve customers.
